Section 20: Lifetime Warranty
We forge every Pro Chefly knife to last a lifetime, and we back it up. Every knife is covered by our free Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, for as long as you own it. No registration, no hidden gotchas, nothing extra to buy.
What's Covered
If it fails because of how it was made, we've got you. That includes:
- The handle cracking, splitting, or breaking under normal use
- The blade loosening or separating from the handle
- Separation or delamination of the Damascus steel layers
- The blade cracking or snapping due to a material or forging defect (not misuse)
- Defective rivets, bolsters, or construction
If a covered defect appears, we'll repair or replace the knife with the same model, or a comparable one if yours has been discontinued.
What's Not Covered
Knives are tools, and tools show a life well lived. The following are either normal or the result of an accident or misuse, so they fall outside the warranty:
- Normal wear, such as a dull edge (that's what honing and sharpening are for), light scratches, patina, or natural darkening over time
- Rust or corrosion from care missteps, like the dishwasher, soaking, or storing the knife wet
- Chips, bends, or breakage from misuse, such as cutting bone or frozen food, prying or twisting, dropping, or using the knife for anything it wasn't built for
- Cosmetic changes that don't affect performance
- Damage from accidents, alteration, neglect, or repairs and sharpening done by someone other than a professional
- Knives not purchased from Pro Chefly or an authorized seller
The Details
- Free and automatic. Coverage is included with every knife, with nothing to register or buy.
- Original owner. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
- Proof of purchase required. Please keep your order number or receipt.
- One replacement per defective knife. Replacements carry the remaining warranty of the original.
- Verification. We may ask for photos, or for the knife to be returned, so we can take a look.
- This warranty is in addition to any rights provided by consumer protection laws in your region.
